Hello Tom and staff,
I am a user of Generate Press and need to know if this is possible. A bit of background info for you.
I had Ultimate Social Media plugin set up as my social media sharing. I loved it, but got to expensive for me to use. I have 10 domains/websites.
The reason I used it there was a feature in their pro version that allowed you chose an image in the editor (I use the classic and refuse the blocks) you could select an image different from the featured image and that would be used by Fascist book, Twitter etc.
Not using it now I am at the mercy of them choosing a random image for the post, if at all. Not acceptable. Since I can’t afford it any longer I have chosen another FREE one that is very simple, but it does NOT come with that feature. Bummer.
I did find Yoast and a couple others that did have that feature but do not want all the crap that comes with them. I am a simpleton and like to K.I.S.S – Keep It Simple Stupid! LOL
So I love Generate Press for that reason. It is simple for a moron like me to use.
So here is the Question/Request. Is there something in it that could do the same thing that my old social media plugin did? Is it possible that you could add something that would do the same thing? I don’t know anything about Hooks or Elements or coding. Like I said I am simple and just dangerous enough to get by lol!
Or do you know of a stand alone plugin that would do it. I have searched until my eyes hurt and have a headache.

Hi there,
if i understand correctly – there is this plugin which adds the OpenGraph (FB) and Twitter tags for sharing data, and it sounds like they add a custom field for you to choose the image:

Yes, that is what I am needing. However that one required a facebook app id and secret code. I had one set up previously and reactivated it. Well to make a long story short, it aggravated the Hell out of me, so I deleted that one and found one that will automatically use the featured image and posts it. No settings no nothing to configure. Would have been nice to select one different from the featured image but not necessary.
I was using the wrong search terms and never saw those that come up under OpenGraph. The one I found is “OG – Better Share on Social Media” If anyone is looking for a simple one.
