    Hi,

I got a message from google concerning LCP on mobile screen. So I decided to remove the post page hero to improve the mobile page speed, but nothing has changed, google still gives me the same negative result. Below is the message I got from google.

    Hi Liza,

The result is for the latest 28 days, when did you remove the post page hero?

And on which page did you do the test?

    Hi,

I removed it this morning, 8 hours ago
The page where I had google sitespeed tested is in the private info field -LCP is at 4.2 secs considering I dnt even have featured image–only website title and the navigation menu can be found there. The other page is also in the private info field. LCP is at 4.2 secs as well. Thanks!

I ran a lighthouse test for the post, your post still have the featured image as page hero:

Other than the image, make sure you remove unnecessary variants of the google fonts to reduce the download file size.

    Hi,

I did what you told me but I am still receiving the same negative result from google.

    Core Web Vitals Assessment: Failed

If I were to uninstall generatepress and all its plugins, will it affect or alter the look of my website? I am thinking of uninstalling all my plugins to know what is causing the problem.Link to the site is in the private info field.

    Hi there,

i ran a test on your home page and it has a very bight initial server response time.
That issue is generally resolved by good server side caching. Can you check with your host to see if they can enable server side caching ?

    Hi David,

I need to upgrade my hosting plan to avail of such service. I still don’t want to spend for that–not yet as I only have 18 articles in my website at the moment. Any tips or suggestions you can share with me to address this issue? Shall I just change the website’s design perhaps? Im just worried to make drastic changes because the last time I did so, some of my articles disappeared from the first page of google. Thank you.

I generally like to work with server side caches, if thats not an option then there are some Free cache plugins available. Heres a couple of the more popular options:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-fastest-cache/
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/cache-enabler/
