I am using the shop theme and cannot get the copyright notice to change. I’ve followed previous instructions to go from customizer>footer>copyright. The text I put in the copyright box will not replace the theme’s placeholder copyright notice.
Please advise.

the Shop site uses a Block Element for the footer.
Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Elements ( or Admin Bar > Elements ) and edit the element titled
