Hi, I’ve struggled to find an answer for this new issue I’m having. Everything has been working very well for quite some time until my latest post.
I did everything as I normally do and wrote my article/post, inserted images etc. Assigned it to categories that I wanted the post exert to show up on. But when published, the post page replaced the main page of the category.
So to be specific, the page that is showing up for Learn http://thatsmysuperdog.com/learn/ is supposed to be a different page, one with exerts from all the posts on it.. And when I assign this post to the category of http://thatsmysuperdog.com/category/dog-agility/ it will replace the page that’s currently there, along with any other page that I assign it to a category of…
It should just put an exert on those pages rather than replace the main page.
Does you know what’s wrong? I’m clueless at this point.May 24, 2016 at 10:27 am #196435TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperThe one thing that pops to mind is the permalinks are conflicting.
So the category is named “learn” and so is the slug, and the post has the exact same slug “learn”.
May 24, 2016 at 10:47 am #196445Stephanie MorganThe Permalink for this post is: joymercier-wac3 the slug is the same.
It’s replacing a page: learn (this is my Posts Page with a slug of “learn”)
It currently has one Category chosen, Home page features, which is working correctly.
If I choose a category of Dog Agility (slug:dog-agility), and Interviews (slug:interviews). It will replace all of those pages with the post content.
So it’s not a permalink or slug conflict that I can detect.
Have you got any other ideas? I really appreciate your help!

May 30, 2016 at 2:55 pm #198118Stephanie MorganIt looks like it may have something to do with using Sections or not. If I do use sections, the page looks great but the post replaces every category page I put it in. If I don’t use sections, it functions normally, putting a post exert into the category pages as it’s done before.
I’ve put a lot of work into the posts with sections, is there a way to get around this?
Thanks!May 30, 2016 at 11:20 pm #198195TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperWhat version of GP Premium/Sections are you using?

I’ve updated, I’ll try a post with sections and see what happens. ๐
StephanieJune 4, 2016 at 8:19 am #199390StephanieI don’t have a real post to test, but I tried a test. That seems to have fixed it.
Thank you very much!
