I have just noticed that there are multiple URL’s being picked up by google that are the same as my home page

How can I stop this? I’m not sure how this is happening. Is it WPSP?

Any idea how to set up a redirect for all of those URLs? Basically, all URLs that have http://www.mydomain.com/page/….?

I have Yoast premium and can set a REGEX redirect but have no idea how to do that

    hi there,

It’s not the WPSP links as they point to their respective post pages.

    How many were being flagged?

I only found 2 which are the “Home” menu item on your nav bar and the logo which both point to the same page which is your front page.

Other than that I wasn’t able to find any. Perhaps its only those 2.

To check, can you try removing “Home” on the menu items?

I just cant figure out why it’s not showing a 404 page for those urls seeing as they don’t exist

Ah I misunderstood the question. My bad.

Can you try removing the WPSP lists and check the URLs again if they still don’t return 404 page?

If they return a 404 page, can you check the WPSP lists settings of the WPSP lists added to the page if any of them has pagination enabled?

it seems that all sites do it. as you can see, visiting this URL https://generatepress.com/page/2/ you don’t get a 404 but you get the same home page

I never knew this was the case with WordPress.

as it always been like this?

Seems like a WordPress 5.8 issue.

Even sites that don’t use GeneratePress have the same issue. (check elementor.com/page/2)

It seems WordPress resolves to the closest valid URL instead of returning Error 404.
