David
Hi Everyone,
I have been using the Copy and Paste technique that Mike Oliver first gave as an excellent tip.
But just in the last couple of days I have noted this.
I have a page with 3 outer containers – same basic layout.
I put the focus on the title so I’m not in the middle of any blocks, click Copy All Content from the menu.
Then move to the new page, which is totally blank apart from the title
I put the focus on the default block – press Control + V (or use paste with the mouse).
It seems OK, but I notice as I scroll down the page that it has pasted more content!
It appeared to duplicate the pasting, but when I looked more carefully, the first two containers from the original page have been duplicated below the first 3.
Most odd – and I have reproduced this a handful of times

StaffCustomer SupportHi David,
Can you provide a screenrecording of this occurrence?
I’ve tried replicating the issue but was unable to. Perhaps I’m missing a step.
Here’s what I did.
-Created a destination page.
-Created a Souce page.
-Created a simple layout on Source page.
-Clicked on the title to make sure nothing is selected.
-Clicked “Copy all Content” from Gutenberg settings.
-CTRL + V (paste) it on the destination page. The contents were added but I don’t see any duplicates on both backend and frontend. Perhaps I’m missing a step. Let us know. 🙂

Thanks Elvin, Possibly you need to have multiple outer containers ?
Let me see if I can put a demo together…

OK, here is my procedure to reproduce.
I went to a different website, just in case there was something funky with the one I am working on.
I created a Source Page and added a wireframe template from the Template Library that had a grid with 3 containers…
I duplicated it twice – so it had three identical outer containers with the 3 column grid
Saved the PageCopied all content.
Create a new page to paste it to – gave it a name and saved it.
Pasted in the first and only paragraph.Instead of the three outer containers being copied, I ended up with 5

StaffCustomer SupportThanks.

This may be it. I can only replicate this on multiple container blocks.
See replication attempts here.
With single container – https://share.getcloudapp.com/rRubbn2P – no issues.
Replication – https://share.getcloudapp.com/d5uRRbm1 – with the actual issue
I’ll keep this open and do more tests to check what can be done.
We’ll keep you posted.

StaffCustomer SupportAfter doing a few tests. I believe this is a WordPress core block bug.
I’ve tested this on a WordPress default theme w/ all plugins disabled and it still occurs.
For now, a workaround would be wrapping everything in 1 container when you copy all the content.
