Hello! I’m very new to Generatepress and have a hefty client project in front of me. I’m very overwhelmed with what Generatepress can do, so I’m curious: is it possible to build an archive that looks something like this?
    Archive Style 1

I’ll be building it using Webcomic, pulling posts from a webcomic collection (a group of posts with a custom type), using storylines (categories), and displaying the appropriate thumbnail from them. I have a very fuzzy idea of how to get the posts to display. But I can’t tell if this is something GP is good at out of the box. (The ads in the blue box is an ad code I plan on inserting above the footer so you can ignore that if it’s confusing.)

This is the most complex piece of the puzzle for this client’s site, so I’m curious if this kind of design is relatively easy to build using Generatepress (blocks or otherwise), or if I should try and talk them down from it. I’m very tired so I hoped to ask for help before I lose a bunch of hours tinkering about in GP.

On that note, if the scrollbars are a rabbithole, I could easily convert them into rows and be done with it:

Or honestly anything that seems sensible. Thank you for your trouble!

    Hi there,

I’m not exactly sure how WebComics work to fully know the details on how to tackle this.

From the looks of it, it seems like webcomics creates a custom post type for each comic book but I’m not exactly sure how the paging is structured.

But assuming WebComics plugin comes with its own template, I think the best to ask is how to edit that template to match what you want. And for this one, the best one to ask is the developer of the plugin.

Note: If the plugin you mentioned works with default WordPress theme, it should work with GP.
