This is a strange one, and I hope you will not immediately dismiss it as “out of scope”.
I love the theme. So fast and I believe looks great too.
I have published 9 articles on my generate press site.
Submitted them Via Google Search Console. The site was first registered in G Search Console on May 17th, 2021.
If I check to see indexed pages in Google using : site:https://sugardaddyguru.com
I see 8 indexed pages.
So 9 articles, 8 indexed, and so far only 2 impressions from an actual query. 2.
I’ve run sites before, and this is ridiculous. Some of the articles are over 2k words long and are good content. I know all about keyword analysis.
I also run a forum and have submitted 3 articles on the same subject..They are already getting impressions for actual queries, as I would expect.
Please understand : I am not asking for SEO advice. I am not expecting tons of clicks.
Just greater than 2 impressions in nearly 1 month. That points to a problem.

Please note: the 64 impressions is me, typing site:https://sugardaddyguru.com
Only 2 from real queries. There are no errors. But an extremely low crawl rate and only 2 impressions from user searches!

Crawl rate low
I am totally mystified here. I have set up sites before so I know what to expect. AFTER I submitted this site, I added 3 articles on a separate domain (a forum), with thematically related content, similar format etc..And everything is working as I’d expect. Getting impressions from queries.
Is there anything you can tell me?Thanks so much!

This is generally outside of the theme’s control. And I hate to be the guy to point here (you’ve likely read this already), but in case you’ve yet to read this, check it out – https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7103386?hl=en
Your competitors are likely getting the clicks over your site.

Google determines this. The best we can do on our end is to make sure to get the highest Google PSI score possible and write the best content that could be written for the site.

Look back at your linked article. It applies to PAID traffic. The page has a giant “Google Ads Help” title across the top, and the first tip is: “Increase your campaign budget”
So it is not relevant to my enquiry.
I enquired about ORGANIC traffic. I hope the difference is clear. You should know about that.
To repeat : I am not asking for SEO advice. I know it very well, which is why I know 2 impressions after 1 month with 9 articles is very unusual and points to a problem.
To repeat further, I have submitted 3 articles on a different domain, NOT using your theme, about the same subject and am already getting lots of impressions.
ERGO : It must be something to do with your theme, unless I am missing something.I appreciate it appears to be out of scope and is unusual. But there is something not right here.
Re this:
Google determines this.
I know it does. But why this site with this theme, given the conditions I Have outlined above?
I’d really appreciate some considered answers if possible. I don’t want to ditch your theme, but it looks like I will have to if this isn’t resolved.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
ERGO : It must be something to do with your theme, unless I am missing something.
I’m not really sure how a theme could influence something like this unless it was intentionally blocking search engines (which ours doesn’t, of course). If it was the theme, it would apply to all sites using it, including our own.
A WordPress theme (ours or any other) simply provides the framework for your WordPress site. It adds the style, functionality, and areas where your content should show up. A good WordPress theme does this while minimally impacting the performance of your site and making sure it’s as accessible as possible.
Your content is what Google cares about. If the theme is displaying the content, then it’s all up to Google to find that content and rank it. If your robots.txt file is valid and not blocking anything, then it really is a waiting game for Google to start ranking your content so you get more impressions.
I understand that it’s frustrating, but I can assure you that the theme isn’t the reason you’re running into these issues. Perhaps a SEO/webmasters forum would be worth posting in to get some more ideas?

I totally understand Tom. Like I said, I love your theme. But I simply cannot understand what the problem could possibly be..When I add the content to my other sites, it performs exactly as I’d expect.
Still I am getting 0 impressions.
It cannot be the IP address of my server, because I have other sites on it and they too are working fine.
Just gonna have to post new content on another site and leave the generate press site and hope it picks up.
It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperDefinitely strange, best advice I can give is to check your robots.txt file and do all possible Google tests to see if they pick up on anything.
