Hi Tom,
I helpied a client build a site using GeneratePress and the Add Ons. The site is http://taastrategies.com.
When someone clicks on a Parent page, the Background Current Color works fine but if they move to a Child page, the main menu color shifts back to green, which is the regular inactive color of the menu items.
For example, if you are on http://taastrategies.com/quickstart/, the TAA Quickstart menu item is grey. If you move to http://taastrategies.com/quickstart/strategies/, the menu item goes back to green.
I have confirmed that it works in similar circumstances on other sites, so perhaps there is something on his site that is causing the problem.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

The relationship between that page and the menu item isn’t specific enough it seems.
You can add your own CSS for this though:
.main-navigation .main-nav ul .current_page_ancestor > a { color: #FFFFFF; background-color: #3f3f3f; }Let me know if that helps or not 🙂
