Don
Earlier today I added the Google Adsense code to the wp_head Legacy Hooks.
If I use the google chrome browser, the ads do not show up.
If I use the firefox browser, the ads show up, but there is a large area of white space beneath the header.
Please know that I cleared the cache for both browsers. -> donpasco.com (please check multiple posts and not just the home page)Please advise and thank you for your help.

StaffCustomer SupportHi Don,
This is what I see with Adblock deactivated on my chrome browser.
https://www.screencast.com/t/FOoUDRBecxbI don’t think I see the large white area under the header, could you specify which area you are talking about?
Let me know 🙂

Hi Ying,
Thank you for responding.Apparently, Google is showing the white space when it does not have an ad to show in that area.
In your screencast it shows an ad in the area beneath the header, but in most cases, the area above the navigation bar and below the header, I have seen white space.
Is there some way that I can eliminate that spot as a potential area for google adsense ads?
I would attach a screenshot of what am seeing, but the new forum apparently does not allow me to do that.

StaffCustomer SupportHi Don,
The theme doesn’t have control on what the ad script does.
You’re using Google Auto ads meaning its basically up to the script what happens.
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9261805?hl=enI suggest placing ads manually so you have full control of how and when the ads show up.

Hi Elvin,
I suspect you are correct about the auto ads script controlling the placement of the ads and I intend to take your advice and place the ads manually. What I don’t understand is why no ads and no blank spaces appear in the Chrome browser of the site.
Do you have any idea as to why chrome seems to be unaffected by the auto ads script?Don

StaffCustomer SupportWhat I don’t understand is why no ads and no blank spaces appear in the Chrome browser of the site.
Sorry not exactly sure what you are referring to here?
We can’t control how the script works unfortunately.

Hi Leo,
A few posts back, Ying replied with a screencast link that showed a google adsense ad beneath the header.I had mentioned that I was seeing excessive white space in that area, but only when I used the firefox browser.
The Chrome browser does not show the ad or the white space. That is what I was referring to in my last reply when I asked:
“Do you have any idea as to why chrome seems to be unaffected by the auto ads script?I have included a screencast link below showing the google ad below the header inside a “RED” rectangle.
That is the same area where all I see is a white space. Please let me know if you know why neither of those scenarios are seen in the Chrome browser.
Thanks,

StaffCustomer SupportI just visited the site with Adblock off but don’t see the ad under the site title anymore.
Unfortunately we wouldn’t know why the script is only causing the issue in Firefox.

Hi again Leo,
I just went into my adsense account and discovered that I was able to remove that spot from my website for future ads.
Thank you for your help.
