Hugo
Hey guys,
How do I remove the post title from the blog area and only keep the featured image and a little bit of content?
Also how do I remove the date from my blog posts and homepage posts display?
I have provided examples in the private area.
Thanks.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
To remove the post titles from the blog areas, you can use a Layout Element along with the Disable Elements module to disable the Content Title: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
To remove the date, you can go into “Customize > Layout > Blog”: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-overview/
Hope this helps!

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the help. I did both of your suggestions before starting this topic but none of them worked. I thought something was not right here. What else can I do to solve both problems?
Also I don’t have any option for Content on elements. I have Site header, page hero, display rules and internal notes

StaffCustomer SupportHi Hugo,
Could you try to purge your cache after a change has been made?
And also clear cache for your browser to see the result.
Let me know 🙂

I have done that but still not working.
I just deleted the date header and its fine now.
Just need to work on the title on the blog archive.
On elements I have Global, Home and Posts. I have excluded Blog, but doesn’t work.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Can you share the setting you’ve set on your Layout Element? Perhaps there are parts that need correcting like display rule location.
Let us know.

Do you mean when I go to Customize – Layout – Blog?
I unticked post date and, display post tags, Display padding around images, Make first post featured, Display posts in masonry grid

I meant the Layout Element Tom recommended here so you can remove the Title.

You can disable the content Title with it as shown here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/#disable-elementYou just need to make sure “Content Title” is ticked and the display rule location is correct.

I think you’re pertaining to Header Element.
Layout Element is a completely different element from the Header Element.
Here’s how to create one – https://share.getcloudapp.com/KoudKLrz
Note: Make sure your Disable element module is activated – https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOuoJYkx

Hi Elvin,
Thanks for the help. It wasn’t working the way you said, but when I chose the option blog archives, it did the job.
