Escobar
Would it be possible to change my current menu to something similar to the one on this page?
That is, 2 bars having the first the logo, the product search, the button to access and the cart and the second bar with the categories menu?
My website is: herramientasbazarot.com
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

StaffCustomer SupportHi Escobar,
For the first bar, you’ll need to create a block element with a Button as its content.
Sethook
as block type,generate_menu_bar_item
as hook, chooseentire site
as location.
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-archive-navigation/You could use the Secondary navigation for the second bar.
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/secondary-navigation-layout-overview/Create a new set of menu, assign it to the secondary navigation, choose
below header
as its location.Once the structure is done, we can help with some CSS to re-order the menu bar items in the first bar.
Let me know 🙂

Hi Ying,
First of all, i am sorry, i dont understand whats ablock element with a Button as its content.
Anyway, wouldn’t it be possible to simply change the items from the primary menu and thus not have to create any other blocks?
I would like to keep the style of the primary menu.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

No, you won’t be able to insert a menu item between the cart and search. It has to be a
menu_bar_item
.But it depends on you, if that’s too much work to create a block element, then leave the primary menu as it is 🙂

“if that’s too much work to create a block element,…” ???
Anyway … I’m very sorry if I haven’t explained myself well.
What I wanted is to know how I can make a menu similar to the one on the web that I have indicated, and that the menu that contains the category items is the one that goes down when scrolling. I do not know if the cart could go in the secondary menu above together with the search block and the button to make loginThanks Ying.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Here’s how I’d go about it to replicate the menu of the reference site.
Your reference is using Max Mega menu plugin. I’d try to get that as well for faithful replication.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/megamenu/Things to do:
1.) Try to recreate how the mega menu looks on the plugin.
2.) Enable secondary navigation module on Appearance > GeneratePress
3.) Enable Secondary navigation on the Customizer settings.
4.) Add the menu on to the Secondary navigation. As for the primary menu / first nav bar.
This should be doable by inserting things through the Header widget area. That’s what the site actually did. All the links and the search bar was added on the header widget area.
