With the Customizer settings, the header navigation changes I make doesn’t seem to affect the Front Page in particular. It works consistently across other non-Front Pages.

you have a header element on your home page, can you go to Site Header Tab – temporarily set the header to merged and check that there are not changes to the header options ?

Thank you David. That’s a good catch. I have forgotten that there was a header element in place.
