Hi Team,
Could you please help me understand the low pagespeed score for this site- Mobile score is in 40s.
I have also recently updated General settings-to Flexbox, CSS-External File and SVG which I understand are more optimal. It shows a lot of render blocking resources error with Google font and minify css issue
Also, I am hardly using any CSS- just on two pages to change background color and justify text. And just using Generateblocks on home page.
Will appreciate some help to resolve this.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Can you first try disabling all plugins except GP Premium to see where we are at with the PageSpeed score?

Thanks Leo. This has been an insightful exercise. I have disabled two of the plugins for optin form and another formatting one-which has brought the score to around 60s.
Further, if I do disable social sharing plugin, it will take it to 70s. But don’t want to do so. Other plugins are for back up, security and SEO and other GP products only like GP blocks, WP show posts etc. which I don’t think will move the score much. Can you suggest a more lightweight alternative plugin for opt-in form. Also for social share, are there any recommendations which show share count and are light weight. It would help if you can also share your best suggestions for plugins which are light weight and go well with GP.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
The best advice when it comes to these scores comes directly from the source: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
The first thing you’ll want to do is to reduce the number of render-blocking resources. A plugin like Autoptimize is great at doing this.
Your server response is the next issue, which could indeed be the plugins you mentioned above.
I know this plugin is lightweight, but it doesn’t have a free version: https://novashare.io/
This is a good free alternative: https://wordpress.org/plugins/shared-counts/
