Hi there,
It was quite difficult searching for the exact question I have, sorry if it answered already.
First, I would like to add an image on this page. I’m unsure how to do so. Second, would it all be possible to get the posts only on this page be presented differently?
I’d like to have the 3 posts across rather than the big ones like I have now, sorry I’ve had a long day and forgot the specific term. Thank you

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
you could create a Header Element for your author archive:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/
You would need to includes some content in the Header Element, if you only want the image to display add a HTML Comment:
<!-- author image -->Then give the element some Top and Bottom padding to set the height, and set a Background Image.
The display Rules you would use is
Author ArchiveOnce thats done we can walk your through ( if needed ) this filter:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/option_generate_blog_settings/
Which will allow you create a different layout for the author archive.

So I tried to do what you described, in the HTML box I put <!– author image –>
and still nothing. Also made sure that the display area was specified for author archive.
Let me know if my settings are wrong or what I can try, thank you!

StaffCustomer SupportLooks like you have another Header Element set to display on the site.
Edit that and on the Display Rules -> Exclude the Author Archive.November 21, 2020 at 8:08 am #1540188roy
The only other header that is “Entire site” is the site hero which breaks the author archive if I exclude it.

StaffCustomer SupportExclude the Author Archive from that other element so i can take a look.
I would suggest that you use the same Padding options in your entire site element on the author archive element.November 21, 2020 at 8:21 am #1540195roy
I updated it so you could take a look. I copied the settings over initially so there wouldn’t be any issues.

StaffCustomer SupportMaybe try this instead.
Delete the Author Archive template.
Edit your Entire Site template and set a Fall Back Image for the Background.
Edit the Display rules so it no long Excludes the Author Archive.November 21, 2020 at 8:56 am #1540222roy
That worked!
Thank you! Can you help me with the 2nd part? I looked through the link you sent me but I’m not a coder, I would appreciate the help.

StaffCustomer SupportSorry is the second part related to the header?
If not any chance you can open a new topic?
It’s easier for us to track this way.
Thanks 🙂
