Hi- I have three forms on my website. The site is built on a GP child theme, and I use GP Premium. when I deactivated GP premium, or switched to theme Twenty-Twenty the forms send fine. With one or the other (GP or GP Premium activated I get an error on form submission. Nothing specific- just *error.) I’ve deactivated GP Premium for now and everything is working fine. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thank you!

    Hi there,

We will need to go through a little more debugging steps.

    – Can you keep GP Premium activated and activate the parent theme to see if the issue still exists?

    – If so, then try deactivate all premium modules and reactivate them one by one and try to determine which one is causing the issue:

Hi- I did that and the form sent fine with the parent theme and GP premium activated. I have always used the GP Child theme I downloaded from your site. Is there an updated version of that I should use? I make all my edits now in the “additional css” location within customize- do I not need a child theme any longer? Thank you for the help!

Have you added anything in the child theme’s function.php file?

I make all my edits now in the “additional css” location within customize- do I not need a child theme any longer?

In that case, you don’t need a child theme at all.

No- I have some edits in the style.css of the child theme, but I could easily move those.

Yeah there is no point using the Additional CSS and style.css from the child theme at the same time.

How many lines of CSS do you have in total?

I just looked at it and I didn’t use the “additional css” option through customize…just the style.css. 9 lines total.

In that case there is really no need to use a child theme.

Just add it in Additional CSS.

Is there a way to move all my customizations from the child to the parent GP theme?

    What do you mean?

Simply copy and paste the CSS from child theme’s style.css to additional CSS should work.

I meant the customizations I made under – Appearance-Customize- while in the Child theme. Those don’t carry through when I activate the parent theme.

Those don’t carry through when I activate the parent theme.

Only some of the options like logo images etc would need to be re-uploaded.

    The rest should carry over.

Perfect, then I’ll just keep it as is. Thank you!
