Hello,
when working within the Block-Editor, selecting GenerateBlocks-Container and trying to make it Full-width, it somehow does not work anymore. I checked the code, compared it to a few older posts of mine and noticed that the “align”:”full”-statement within <!– wp:generateblocks/container {“uniqueId”:”f92d0885″,”align”:”full”} –> is missing.

Can you make sure the content container option is set to full?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/No, it is set to Standard/Default – as it is supposed to be. I do not want the content/text to be full width, just some picture-grids (that I create with GenerateBlocks).
It used to work fine, now it doesn’t, when creating a new post. I checked settings of old/existing posts: When I edit the grid in the above post/link and only change the Block-settings for the GenerateBlock-Container from Full width to contained width and back to Full width, it is NOT Full with anymore in the preview.
For single picture-blocks it works fine, just when setting up grids with GenerateBlocks, the container does not stretch full-width (anymore), even though I select Full width in the Blocks-Layout-settings.
Could you test for yourself and let me know, if you face the same issue. I have the latest versions installed. It s just weird.

The page you’ve linked isn’t using GB for the full-width pictures.
It’s using the
alignfulloption from the image block which is a bit hacky and create horizontal scroll issues from time to time.The only way to create any full-width content using GB is to make sure the theme container is set to full width as explained here:

https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/container-overview/#standalone-blockLeo, I did as told, it does not work. Even though the preview in the block-editor looks fine, in the front-end it does not.
By adding “align”:”full” manully in the code-editor to the wrapping containers manually, however, I can achive the result I am looking for.
Please check for yourself on desktop, for the full-width grids only visible there.

The inner container is not full width, as it’s set to Contained.
If you set the inner container to “Full width”, the gallery should occupy the full width of the outer container.

it does occupy the full width in the block-editor (s. image below), but not on my website.
The code says “innerContainer”:”full”.
This is odd.
Any other ideas?

Yes, Leo: the “Single Post Content Width”-Layout, which came with GP, sets the width to 680px.
If I delete that layout, I have to go through all my existing posts and create narrow content? The way you describe here:

What would you suggest, I do? I wonder, if I shall just use the alignfull option from the image block. Although your statement above worries me.

You can add an exclusion rule in that layout to exclude that narrow container width from being applied to that post.
But then yes, for that post, you would need to use the contained block method in GB.
