Hmm, it looks like they want you to write something before selecting where to post it.
Can you try it with the default TwentyFifteen theme and see if it still happens? This will tell us if it’s a GP conflict or not.

Is BuddyPress the only plugin activated while using both themes?
I have the following plugins installed:
akismet buddypress buddypress-nocaptcha-register-box eu-cookie-law gp-premium jetpack wp-ulike
Does the same GP issue happen with those deactivated?

Aha, TwentyFifteen has this custom CSS:
#buddypress form#whats-new-form #whats-new-options[style] { min-height: 6rem; overflow: visible; }I’ve added it to the next version of GP 🙂
