Hi guys is there an demo.xml file somewhere available so one doesn’t have to start on a blank canvas?
January 16, 2017 at 10:14 am #264619TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperThere isn’t currently, but this is something I’d like to do.
What kind of elements would you want to see included?
September 29, 2017 at 7:25 pm #394529SteveI would love demo content for a photography site. After 3 days trying to build one with Generate Press and Elementor I got nowhere. Just a pain in the neck is all I achieved.
September 29, 2017 at 10:09 pm #394575TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperWorking on a solution for this right now – going to be out soon, and I’ll be sure to get something photography-like made up ๐
September 29, 2017 at 10:13 pm #394576SteveThat would be fantastic, as far as I can see the only stuff out there for photographers is bloated X Theme type demo content.
The themeforest themes for photography look great but they all have internal page builders like Fusion etc and leave code all over the place. I am breaking my neck, (after stretching it) to get a fast photographic site built.September 29, 2017 at 10:15 pm #394577SteveBy the way, I am already using your Premium theme, however I have made NO headway to achieving what I want at this stage.
September 30, 2017 at 12:01 am #394599TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperIt can be tough with all of the bloated stuff out there.
Have you looked at a plugin like Envira Gallery?
September 30, 2017 at 12:55 am #394618SteveIs it better than Imagely? I have the pro version but their is very little tuition and it is hard to set up. If Envira is better I would probably buy it.
September 30, 2017 at 9:18 am #394838LeoStaffCustomer SupportEnvira is a popular one right now. I’ve used it myself and like it alot.
Best to test it out and decide which one suits your need better.
November 2, 2017 at 12:44 pm #415205SteveDespite heaps of WordPress themes out there for photography I would just love to build a better website with Generator press. I have spent a lot of time with premium Generator press but just can’t seem to get what I want. The site does not look correct on various products such as Ipads, Iphones, Laptops etc. I would like a slider on the Home Page to show various photos. I would Kill for a full demo product that would only require changes of galleries etc. My site is http://www.stevehilliar.com and any suggestions on how to get it looking REALLY good would be appreciated. Headers, menus, buttons etc are just not quite right. I am using the pro version of Elementor page builder.
Anyone interested in helping who is a master with Generator Press I would be happy to PAY for the work.November 2, 2017 at 3:34 pm #415250DuncanHi,
As you are using Elementor, have you seen this blog post?
Some nice looking pre-made templates there, which might help get you started with your design.
November 2, 2017 at 4:08 pm #415255SteveThanks so much Duncan, they are very good but unfortunately only ONE page templates, I am looking to build a real pro site. I have looked at Enfold Theme which has a great photographic demo to import but I have spent money on Elementor Pro, Generator Press Pro and Envira Gallery. Enfold is $60 and has it’s own gallery sliders, page builders etc but is similar to Divi and X Theme, where the code bloats the site and leaves unwanted code all over the place.
I think I really need to employ someone to help me out.
All I want to do is add galleries and photos and add blog content. In the last 12 months I have achieved nothing, VERY frustrating.November 2, 2017 at 7:29 pm #415323TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperWe’re working on importable starter sites – I’ll be sure to work on a photography one.
For now if you need to hire someone, I highly suggest using codeable.io ๐
November 2, 2017 at 8:38 pm #415338SteveThanks indeed Tom, I would just love something like the demo site they did for Enfold, it has everything that I need and more, however I am committed to you as I know that theme is solid and well coded, plus I bought Envira Gallery, Elementor etc, so in the end I should get what I am after. I would really rather do it myself if I can, even though I am a senior citizen well over 70 years old and love fooling with this stuff.
November 4, 2017 at 8:56 pm #416414SteveI am receiving email messages from people who are responding to my post here but for some reason I cannot loacte those replies. any idea why?
