The posts that I created before I used GeneratePress have their YouTube embeds or images that appeared in the beginning show up in the archives page. Example: https://jenniferprufer.com/blog/
The posts that I created after installing GP that have YT embeds or images appear in the beginning do not appear in the archives page. Example: https://jenniferprufer.com/life/ (How to be productive when tired article should have YT embed appear)
Could you please advise on how to have YT embeds and images in the beginning of the post appear in the archives page/front page?
Hi there,
WordPress strips HTML in excerpt by default - it would be the same if you are using a default twenty series themes.
If you want HTML to show in the excerpt, you can either try using the more tag:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-more-tag/
Or the except metabox:
https://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/excerpt/
Let me know if this helps :)
Perfect. Used the more tag, and it does exactly what I want. Thank you so much!
No problem :)
