WPShowpost or new Block Plugin?

Hello,
in the FB Group I have read, that Tom is going to be release a new Block Plugin. He wrote about this plugin: "Will allow us to build awesome sites for the library without any page builders."
Now I have one question. I want to rebuild a website with GPP, which has a magazine style homepage, which shows some posts from each category and the latest posts. There is also a small slider or carousel on top of the content.
Is it recommended to do this with the wpshowpost plugin, or should i wait for the Block Plugin, Tom mentioned? Can this Block Plugin do something like that? And do we need to use Gutenberg to use this plugin?
Hi there,
The new block plugin will require Gutenberg and it's for creating unique layouts (columns etc).
It won't have the function to display posts like WP Show Posts.
So if you are trying to create masonry grid posts, then WP Show Posts should still be the way to go.
