[Support request] Wp Show Posts Pro – Option to have a 'filter'

Is it planned or possible to have a ‘filter’ option (perhaps when showing a gallery or list of posts) to be able to able to filter by ‘category’ or ‘tag’ or similar?

This would be very useful – especially for galleries or where there are 100’s of posts and someone wants to filter by a certain taxonomy. Ideally these would be either a dropdown list at the top of the list or as links / buttons at the top that pick up the taxonomies or tags, etc. automatically.
