Hi. I tried to publish a post after WP automatically (?) installed Gutenberg and my Admin ribbon showed up on the new published post and every other post that’s been there for several years. (I tried to copy and paste it here through SnagIt but no luck.) I cleared cache and made sure I have the latest Generate Press and GP Premium but it didn’t go away, so I had to unpublish the post.

Also the text on my banner image went from white to black and is missing the second line altogether. I couldn’t get that back to what it should be.

Is the only solution to go back to Classic or Classic block? I don’t have time to mess with WordPress if this is the way things are going to be going forward. Even for folks who like Gutenberg, I don’t think WP did us any favors. ๐Ÿ™

    Hi there,

Not quite sure if I fully understand.

When you are logged in as the admin, the admin bar is supposed to show up when viewing that post like this:

Is this what you are referring to? If not any chance you can upload a screenshot of what you are seeing using a service like this?

    Let me know ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Leo,

The admin bar that ends with “Howdy…” on the right hand side is what shows up when I’m signed in as Admin. For the last several days after I’ve signed out of WordPress and just opened my website as any visitor would, the admin bar has also displayed there and on every page of my website. Today, it’s not displaying. Aargh. Maybe I cleared cache enough times to win that battle? (Tomorrow I take the car in to the shop and it had darn well better still make the clanking noise I’ve been hearing!)

So I guess the remaining problem I have is that the script font on my banner image is now black instead of white and the second line of it is missing. How do I get the original lines back? Thanks!

    Hi there,

in Customizer > Colors > Header you can set the color of your Site Title and Tag Line.
Let us know if that works
