Wordpress Jetpack - Carousel not working with GP theme / plugins?

Hello
Today i recognized that my galleries and lightbox-ed images aren't working anymore as they did before. The carousel effect does not appear, and also does not lightbox, when you click an image it opens just the image as a file (for example http://www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/IMG_1095.jpg).
I'm using WordPress Jetpack with Carousel enabled and a lightbox plugin called "Simple Lightbox".
I was using Jetpack carousel as i mentioned above for my galleries. And the simple lightbox plugin im using for single images, so they open in a lightbox instead of a new page with the full page image displayed.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Are those plugins or Jetpack functions not compatible with GeneratedPress theme and add-ons?
They should work fine with GP - I was actually using the Carousel module here on this site for a while until I switched to featherlight.
