WordPress 5.0 is being released today, which includes the brand new editor named "Gutenberg".
GeneratePress and GP Premium are fully compatible with Gutenberg: https://generatepress.com/gutenberg/
If you run into issues, make sure all of your plugins are WordPress 5.0/Gutenberg compatible.
If you're not ready for the new editor, you can install and activate this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/
