WooCommerce in Customize is not showing my updates to the Checkout Settings

Aloha,

FYI: I have also contacted WooCommerce regarding this issue but feel like might also apply to my GeneratePress Premium theme.

In the WordPress / Customize / WooCommerce / Checkout - it seems that the option to select if Billing info is "optional" or "required" is not responding and always showing it as "optional" even thought I selected it to be "required". Also the asterisk is not being applied to the "required" fields.

Overall it feels like their is a bug in the system. I tried deactivating and activating the "WooCommerce" addon in the Generate Press Settings but this did not help. I did not however do the "reset" option because I first wished to connect with your support team.

Another issue I'm seeing in conjunction with the above issue is that recently, since the new update of WordPress core, my shopping cart for my WooCommerce subscriptions service is not calculating the tax rate during checkout. In my settings I established all of my subscriptions as "taxable" at the "standard" tax rate. Because I my business is in Hawaii I need to add a Hawaii GE tax to all of my Hawaii based Clients, so I created a Standard tax rate that only applies a 4.166% tax rate to customers who enter "HI" or Hawaii as their state when adding their billing info. Currently no tax is being applied no matter what STATE is selected during checkout. It seems the shopping cart is not updating when new info is inputed into the form. Like I stated above, I have a support ticket also out to WooCommerce regarding this issue but I also want to see if it has to do with my theme or if you happen to have any insight.

Please let me know what I can do to fix this. I'm using the GeneratePress Premium theme with Beaver Builder plugin for my page builder.

Thank you so much for helping!

Hi there,

These are definitely all WooCommerce issues unfortunately.

The options in Customizer > WooCommerce are actually all from WooCommerce plugin itself.

GP's WooCommerce add-on simply provide styles to WooCommerce and does not alter the functionality.

Let me know if this helps.

Aloha!

Thank you for your reply! After working with WooCommerce I discovered that the issue was stemming from the plugin: WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway. Once I disabled this plugin everything started working.

Thanks again for your help! You guys are the best!

No problem :)
