Hey,

I switched to GP a few months ago after using Genesis for almost 10 years. What I miss the most is the widget area below the post. With the widget below the post, I could promote relevant products based on categories, tags or even manually selecting individual posts using widget logic.

What is the best way to replicate such a functionality?
To register a new widget area?
Plugin recommendation?

the Hooks Element may be of interest to you, it has conditional display rules built in:

You could always register a widget area and call it in one of those hooks.
