Why the Home Page width is more

I have changed the container to 990px for the whole site whereas the single post width is set to 800px. But on the front page, the width is huge as compared to other category pages that display in 990 pixels.
How can I make it the same as the category pages and why it is not changing globally.
Hi there,
you have the Content Container set to Full Width on the front page and the width of the various sections are defined by the block plugin you're using.
Got it, the full width was the flaw. Changed it and now normal. Thanks David.
