Hi,
Went to setup a site’s footer identical to a site I’ve had for several years now, and noticed that the Footer Bar Alignment option is NOT in the latest version of GP Premium, therefore I cannot align my Copyright info to the right so that I can add links to the left.
Do I need to add something from elements, maybe? See screen prints below…
Please help?
March 5, 2022 at 11:15 am #2143692LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Have you added a footer bar widget yet?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-bar-widget-area/March 5, 2022 at 11:18 am #2143700TrishNever mind… for some reason, once I clicked Published, left Customize and then came back in… POOR… Footer Bar Alignment appeared as an option. Not sure why, just glad if FINALLY appeared.

September 8, 2022 at 8:22 am #2337211ThierryHi
I noticed the following:
If you write HTML in the Copyright box:
– no more alignment setup
– footer widget is not showedIf you do not write HTML in the Copyright box:
– alignment setup appears
– footer widget is shown
– if you chose “center” then the footer widget goes below the Copyright textSo it does not seem possible to have left aligned Copyright followed by some links and text
It is not a big deal, just to let you know.
Kind regards

The alignment setup should still be there even if your write HTML in the Copyright box. What HTML are you trying to add?
If you want the html you’re adding in line with the Copyright, try inserting it in a
span
tag.Or, you could use a Block Element – Site Footer as an alternative: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-site-footer/
September 8, 2022 at 5:48 pm #2337480ThierryHi Fernando
I confirm that inserting HTML makes footer alignment disappear (after reloading the customize page)
Here is the current Copyright text (and it is centered)
%copy% %current_year% Audio Market - <a href="/legal-notice/">Legal Notice</a> - <a href="/cookies-policy">Cookies</a> - <a href="/help/">Help</a> - <a href="/about">About</a>
span does not change anything (including footer alignment disappears)
Kind regards
ThierrySeptember 8, 2022 at 8:01 pm #2337537Fernando Customer SupportI tested the HTML code you have on my end, and I’m not encountering the same issue. See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0uZqog4
What version of GP theme and GP Premium are you using? Are they updated?
September 8, 2022 at 8:04 pm #2337541ThierryHi
Every thing is up to date.
I just wanted to inform you about what seems to be a small non critical bug.
I did exactly what I wanted with Block Elements:-)
Kind regards
ThierrySeptember 8, 2022 at 8:21 pm #2337554Fernando Customer SupportI see. Glad you found a workaround. Not sure why this issue is occurring from your end. Could be a plugin conflict or something else.
September 9, 2022 at 3:32 am #2337837ThierryHi
I have a sandbox website for testing my own developments.
0 plugin.
After inserting html, did you reload the customizer?
Regards
ThierrySeptember 11, 2022 at 5:53 pm #2340006Fernando Customer SupportYes, I did.
To clarify, any html code you place there aren’t saved? Can you try adding HTML code in Customize > Site Identity?
If that doesn’t work, can you try temporarily using a different theme that has an input box setting in the customizer like Hello Elementor in your sandbox site? Try adding HTML code in Site identity as well.
You might have a database setting causing this.
