What is the best way to show latest blogs?

On my home page I have a section for Blogs. I would like to show three blog previews in a row, which I can do with lightweight-grid, but what I don't know, is how to automatically make them change when a new blog is posted, so that it is always the newest three blogs showing.
Can anyone give me some idea of how to do this please?
