    Hi,

Before buying GeneratePress premium, I was unaware that coding experience was needed to create a sophisticated blog. I just bought it on a recommendation that it’s a fast theme.

Now I see that I’ve bit of more than I can chew. Having no prior experience in coding at all, I find it too difficult using GeneratePress with GenerateBlocks.

However, I know that the Elementor builder is compatible with GeneratePress.

My question would be, what benefits do I have using GeneratePress premium with Elementor? Should I use it, or am I better off getting a refund and using Elementor with a free theme instead?

I’m only looking to create a simple blog with different categories as a pure SEO project. Having a fast theme is therefore essential, but maybe there are free alternatives to GeneratePress Premium that could accomplish the same things.

Would really love a sincere answer on this subject.

    All the best!

    Hi there,

For a blogging site there shouldn’t be any need for adding code unless you’re trying to change WPs default behaviour.
do you have an example site that you’re trying to replicate ? Then i can advise on the best route to take.

    Hi David,

Thanks for getting back to me!

I started using your ready made template called “Read” yesterday. Maybe I’ll just go with that instead as it actually has all things essential for me.

My issue was that I couldn’t figure out how to get different category posts to show on different pages. Was looking to set it up with the same structure as it’s set up in the “Read” template. In addition, I wanted to use the card design that’s presented in your Content Template demo video on YouTube. However, I don’t think that design is possible with the free version of WP Show Posts.

In summary, I think I’ll keep going with the “Read” template and eventually I’ll play around with the design as the blog gets more content.

Thank you again for getting back to me!
