No google fonts
Can't change the colour of the navigation bar beyond the pre-sets
Typography - reduced options
Haven't go much further, but wondering if there are other issues.
Please help?

Make sure you have activated the various modules in Dashboard > Appearance > GeneratePress.
but it also sounds like there is something conflicting, please bug test a plugin conflict as per this reply:

Brilliant, and apols for being such a novice. Basic steps worked, with no need to de-activate any plugins. Thank you for your speedy replies - making all the difference!
