[Support request] Way to go

Hi

I’m an old style coder using elementor on GP premium to get started fast on a project.
I have my prototype ready except for one page and I’ve been 2 days messing round and going nowhere.

I have a custom post template where I just want to show a title and video with synopsis.
That works great, but if the CTP has children I want to show the content of those instead.

I can do this easily in GP as I can write my own post templates in child theme.
But with Elementor I can’t find how to do the condition except shortcode and inserted widgets using logic in the shortcode.
Is that ‘normal’. I don’t normally do page builders, but got seduced by the ready made elementor widgets for speed.

What do other folks use for conditional login when using elementor on GP.
I can ditch Elementor and work on GP alone, but am I missing something?
This is more of a methodology question than looking for elementor support.

Hey Martin,

I’m afraid it’s something you’ll likely need to ask Elementor themselves. I’m not sure how their template editing/structure works.

We keep things as simple as possible by using core WP standards when it comes to the templates.
