Want to use columns in my sections

I want to utilize my space better in sections so there isn't so much white space on either side. I downloaded Gridable but it does nothing and my page acts funky, where my section won't open or if it does the Gridable option is not there. How can I use the section option and also have columns within it?

I was able to replicate this but not sure if it's a Gridable problem or Sections problem - I'll forward this to Tom.
Have you considered using Gutenberg and columns block?
Not sure what layout you are trying to create but if it's possible using Gutenberg then I would highly recommend it :)
