You can try this:

1. Go to Appearance > Elements, in the location section, add Pages > All pages, but exluding the Front page:

You'll need to add featured images to the pages as well.

Thank you. That seems to work although it leaves the text across the whole page, is there a way to either add a sidebar ro split the text into column so that each page is not a whole page width of text?

Hi,
Please could you advise how I may get the images to cover the whole header? Should I upload larger versions than the size recommended for posts? I have tried the previously mentioned steps which work but not quite how I need the header.

Go to this block element, and change the background image size from containto cover.

I see the same issue on the demo site pages. Can you tell me where the Block element is please, the image is set using the Featured Image on each Page.

Block element is at appearance > elements, findSingle Post Hero, you can modify the layout/color/background there.
