Connie
My blocks and visual editing have recently gone missing. All I’m left with is html editing for my blog posts and pages. How do I return to the visual editor and block options?
Thank youJanuary 16, 2019 at 8:15 am #783753David
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
if you go to the 3 dot menu in the Editor and check the Visual editor option.
Let me know.January 16, 2019 at 12:47 pm #784031Connie
Thank you, I appreciate your response.
I tried that but it does not give me the visual editor option. I have switched back and forth previously, but the option at the top (three dots) says “switch to visual” but when I click on that it remains in html mode. It also does not give me the ability to add any blocks.
Sorry, I am such a big newbie and know very little code. So all my posts and pages have been created in visual.
My pllugins are minimal and up to date.January 16, 2019 at 12:55 pm #784036Leo
StaffCustomer SupportSo this isn’t what you are seeing?
https://www.screencast.com/t/g8qIt7uQYou might need to try disabling all plugins to see if any of them is causing the issue.

Ok I will try disabling the plugins, thanks

Sorry, Leo just looked at your screenshot. No, mine does not look like that. From the right side of my screen it does not even have the editor option, it just goes from “view” to “tools”

StaffCustomer SupportCan you show me what you are seeing?
You can upload screenshots using a service like the below and provide the direct links here:
https://postimages.org/Go through disable plugins first though.

StaffCustomer SupportThat is very weird. I can’t even figure out how to hide those options.
Can you quickly activate a twenty series WP theme and see if that helps at all?
If that still doesn’t work then it might be good to report to WordPress.

Sorry, simple question here, will my GP theme settings be saved if I activate a twenty theme and then go back to my GP theme?
January 17, 2019 at 7:47 am #784723David
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
yes the GP Settings are saved in the theme, so they will come back when you return the theme to GP.
Can you go to your User settings and make sure Visual Editor is checked.

StaffCustomer SupportYeah that should be it.
Make sure this setting in Users > Your Profile isn’t checked:
