Videos not loading on speed test

Hey guys, I'm wondering if it's normal for videos to not load and say "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available" if they're visible (above the fold) during Google Pagespeed tests

You can see an example here: https://snag.gy/lxeAYB.jpg

The video loads black and has the message posted above.

I think it is a normal thing with Google pagespeed but wanted to make sure I don't have a video loading issue across my website. Do you mind running the Google Pagespeed test on a page on one of your websites with a video above the fold to see if this happens on all websites? If it doesn't it may be a setting with my server.

Thank you for your time as always.

Hi there,

well the page loads fine for me, i ran a lighthouse report against it and that didn't show up any errors. So all good here.

I can only assume that the faux browser that Google Pagespeed insight runs in doesn't bother with 3rd party video support. So it's actually the YouTube reporting the issue.... somewhat ironic lol

Thanks David, I thought it was strange too. So you don't think there is anything to worry about?

Do the videos do that on your website too if they're above the fold?

Just set up a test and yes, they do the same.
The site works fine so nothing to worry about.

Thanks a lot David! You guys rock.

Glad to be of help.
