Video place holder on the main page

I want to have a video placeholder (that will play a video) on the main page. How can I do that? Any specific theme that will allow me?

Hi there,

are you using the Gutenberg block editor? If so use the Video Embed block.

I am going to setup a new website (new WP installation). So I am assuming it will be Gutenburg.

Yes I can use the video embed block.

But I need that to be a separate section on the home page. Where a visitor can come and play the video to know about my business.

Will the Home Page be a static page ? Or set to display your Recent Posts (Blog)?

Below the section of the video, I want to display the latest posts.

Couple of choices.

1. Use a static page for your home page and use the WP Show Posts plugin to display your most recent posts.

2. Create a responsive Embed for the Video - this site will do that for you:
https://embedresponsively.com

And then use the GP Hook Element to insert it:
