[Resolved] Video/images not showing in chrome browser

Hi,

I have two videos with an image overlay that are showing in safari, but not from the chrome browser. I don’t know what to do. I was thinking it maybe had something to do with an attempt to enable webp formats of pictures in the plugin litespeed cache which made some change in .htacess. I’d gladly give my login information if you think you can help.

Hi there,

the images used in the embeded overlay are loading but their height property is being ignored on first load. If i give them a ‘nudge’ in dev tools, by adding a min-height to the images they appear.

Chances are its a problem with the Lazy loader being used. The other issue could be the cached CSS is creating an issue. Odd how its only Chrome though.

Thanks David,

I updated the WP rocket lazy load plugin and elementor and now it seems to be working. Although now, at least on my computer, it seems the ‘fade in’ effect of the text happens too late. Again only in chrome. But that’s more tolerable than the videos not showing. Thanks for your help!

Glad to be of help.
Might be worth speaking with Elementor on the fade-in timing ( i assume its there widget ) – i don’t recall their being any ‘real’ controls over that.
