[Support request] Video background

Hello

I’ve followed the steps to set up a video background, and also added a fade to it, which works well…

Can someone please tell me does the video background play ok on an iphone, as don’t have one to test it!

Hi there,

unfortunately not – the issue maybe because by the time it is loaded the animation has already completed – not 100%. But to the best of my knowledge the preload argument doesn’t work on mobile devices.

Thanks David, works fine on my android, but I’m unable to check on iphone, so just wanted to know if video backgrounds work on iphones now as I know they didn’t previously.

A lot has changed in the last couple of years, even Apple has unlocked videos for autoplay as long as they are muted. They found people resorting to large Gifs was more detrimental to data and power usage then video was….

So i am not sure what is interfering in this case.
