Using Mix-blend mode for site logo

Hi,
I am playing with a new layout and I really want to have to site logo (its currently a white svg) to change when the background slide changes accordingly. I have ben trying to use mix-blend-mode: difference; but no joy.
Any ideas?
I'm not really familiar with that, but you could try adding the logo as an inline SVG, then using fill.
