Hi, I have a page with several sections. Is there a way (maybe with a hook, if not built-in functionality) that I can have GP output a section label as a H2 headline? Thanks!

Hi there,

I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Can you explain more perhaps with an example?

Let me know :)

Sure -- right now, when I have a page with sections, there is a thing called the "Section Label" that, as far as I can tell, is just for the admin to help organize their sections and remind them what is in each section. The section label is never output to the user.

I want to be able to output that label when the page is drawn. Right now each one of my sections just happens to start with an h2 headline and have the section label the same as the headline. So I thought, why do I need to have the headline in the content area of the section, if I could just have the theme spit out the section label before drawing that section? :-)

Could be a simple option on the section "Output section label as H1 (h2, h3, h4, h5 etc) headline"

Does that more make sense now?

Danke--

Hi there,

In order to do this, we would still need to add a shortcode into each section which would output the Section Label. I'm not sure that would be worth it, as you would still be entering something manually.

It's not possible to automatically output it right now, but I'll look into that :)
