Use of WebP images

In my small ecommerce I use webP images using shortpixel with the <picture> tag and with Wordpress hooks (like the_content, the_excerpt, etc).
In the blog section and in all wordpress pages they work very well, all images in webP format are returned, even from mobile, while in the shop it always returns images in jpg. There is a way to solve this problem

Can you test if the same issue exist when using a Twenty series standard WP theme?
If so then I'd assume that this would be a question for WooCommerce' support team.
