upgrade turns into downgrade

Hi,
I have a big problem. I saw what i thought was an update to gp premium in plugin updates today but it seems to have gone back to 1.7.3 I had a background image and that has disappeared. I also above site identity there is another tab saying "Premium modules available" in red. when I go to the plugin homepage under appearance, instead of activate or deactivate and checkboxes for the modules I just see a link which says "read more". Could you please tell me how to fix it?
