When I tried to update through ‘Update plugins’ from 1.3.. to 1.4…
I received the message ‘Update Failed: Could not create directory. gp-premium/backgrounds/functions’.

Tried a number of times. d/l zip file still no joy.
Searched forum for solution and found – delete old [1.3…] plugin and install new[1.4…] zip file.
Works for me and will hopefully assist any other user who has similar problems.

    Cheers Dave

    Hi Leo.

Think this is where I found the info – I dropped my way, to help any one else within the support community, it was more an explanation. As when I searched ‘update failed’, none that I found gave my problem as detailed.
    Dave.

    Thanks 🙂

The plugin solution hasn’t been around for that long so just making sure you see it.

Hi, I tried the Windows Compatibility Fix, made a little extra process, but now get error:

Update Failed: Could not create directory.

Previously before the fix, all I got was the error listed in this article:

Update Failed: Could not create directory. gp-premium/backgrounds/functions
