    Hi Guys
I have a slider inserted in the before_content hook on a client’s website but it’s picking up unnecessary padding. I would like it flush against the navigation and against the side of the website with a bit of a margin to separate the content title. The slider is 1100px wide.

I’d be open to CSS to fix the problem or another suggestion of how to achieve the hero-type effect I’m looking for.
    Thanks
    Allan

    Hi there,

Have you tried using our Page Hero feature in Header Element to insert the slider?

It’s usually the best option to add something like this.

Let me know if this helps 🙂

Thanks Leo, I did end up trying that and it worked perfectly. I must admit the elements feature is still a bit of a mystery and I assumed that it would replace the site header.
    Great support as usual.

    Glad you figured out!

Here are some examples that might be useful: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-hero-examples/
