    Hi,
I’m looking into creating some customization to the site layout working with ACF fields.
Where would be the best place to learn about the Unsemantic framework?
    Would it be here?
    https://unsemantic.com/css-documentation

Is this the version you are using with GP and GPP?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

    Hi there,

That’s definitely the place to learn.

We have a short version here as well depending on how deep you want to go into it: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/creating-columns/#using-built-in-unsemantic-grid

    Thank you Leo!
As for built-in elements like in Zurb’s Foundation or Bootstrap – Tabs, lists, module boxes etc.. – does Unsemantic have any built-in elements?

    Thanks

    Hi Dan,

Unsemantic doesn’t have anything like that – it’s purely a grid system.

That allows you to add in specific elements (tabs etc..) that you need, and not load anything that you don’t need.

    Thanks for clarifying.

Will you continue to use unsemantic framework for the foreseeable future?

I’m planning to use it for a custom archive template and want to make sure you won’t suddenly stop using those classes in a future update.

    Hi there,

for backwards compatibility GP will continue to use Unsemantic if the Customizer > General > Structure is set to Floats.

Personally i would look at writing my own Flexbox CSS for this requirement as its a lot lighter then Unsemantic and is a far more modern and ‘flexible’ approach.
