Ugly layout

Just added the Woocommerce bundled product widget to my site and I believe I can win an award for ugliest product layout ever. I have gone through a lot of irrelevant product documentation without success. Do you have any ideas, other than taking up a different career path? I'm appalled at the hideous results I'm getting. The subordinate product pictures are cut off by a square shape and seem to be stuck over on the left side of the page while the text is laid out beneath. This is the result of selecting the "after summary" option in Product Details. If I don't select this option the pictures and text are on the right, as if there's an empty column on the left.
If I change themes to the Woocommerce Storefront Theme results are slightly more acceptable but still appallingly ugly.
Surely you guys can do better. This is truly the most awful layout I've ever seen.
I can't seem to upgrade above GP Premium 1.6.2
Hi there,
That's definitely not what it's supposed to look like.
Here's an example of the default layout: https://gpsites.co/seller/product/happy-ninja/
Perhaps you have a conflicting plugin? Have you tried deactivating everything other than GP Premium to test?
I disabled all the plugins except GP Premium, and no change.
I installed Woocommerce and the Product Bundle plug in on another site which uses Generate Press and my test products look great!
Back on the original site I removed the Generate Press them and reinstalled it. No change. Still ugly.
Disabled GP Premium. Still ugly.
A while ago I made the mistake of selecting a page builder, which seems to ahve messed things up. I can't remember how but I tried to back out of it and was told I'd have to completely rebuild the site. Am I going to ahve to do that, this will take ages if I have to rebuild from scratch with hundreds of products, unless I can save the old database.
It should either be:
a) An active plugin adding code to your site. Deactivating the plugin will remove the code.
b) Custom CSS/functions added to your site.
I suppose the issue could be in the database if a plugin you were using altered it, but the above points are more likely.
I've already deactivated plugins and I removed the folder for the theme itself and replaced the theme with a new copy, which I'd just downloaded.
No change. Any other ideas?
It wouldn't be in the theme unless you made changes to it yourself.
Does your site have any custom functions? A child theme?
For the third time, I removed the original GP Theme by taking the folder out of the site entirely. I replaced the theme with a new theme which I downloaded from your site. I am working with a new theme which does not have any changes or custom functions. There is no child theme in the themes folder.
I heard back from the plug-in developers who tried to reproduce my ugly page using the Storefront Theme. The page they produced looks exactly like the one I can produce on my site using the Storefront theme, so it's working as intended. Your theme does not work on this site but it works fine on other sites.
It looks like I'm going to have to rebuild the entire site all over again from scratch. This will take several days nearly full time as there are nearly 1000 products on it. The only thing I can think of that could have caused a problem were your page builders which I will avoid.
If it works on one site and not the other, we need to find the difference in code between the two sites. If there are no custom functions or changes made to the theme, then the problem code must be coming from somewhere else.
If all the code is identical, then the problem could be coming from your database. I'm not exactly sure how that would be possible though unless a plugin you were using corrupted it somehow.
Does the issue persist if you create a brand new product?
Which page builders are you referring to exactly?
Created a brand new database and added a grouped product plus three subordinate products.
My main question is why the component products are labelled 'related' products and why they are cut off.
This is exactly the same layout as produced by the regular Storefront theme.

OK, fooled around with options in the GP Customizer and got a much better-looking display. Obviously I'm going to have to rebuild the whole site because of the database problem. Not sure but this may have happened because the site was moved to its present location after it had been created elsewhere.
That's good to hear. Strange about the database, I assume the issue persists even when you add a fresh product?
