Two hero images side by side set at 50% each are displaying on 2/3 on each other

Hello guys. I am having this weird issue where I created a grid with 2 container next to each other. In each container I added a hero image with caption and text. They are set at 50% each but when I go to preview the image on the right one goes over the one on the left by 2/3. I double checked all the settings and everything seems OK. I must have missed something. Any idea?

You have a CoBlocks hero block (?) inside that column and that has been set to Full Width ( in the Blocks toolbar ). Which is causing the overlap.
As an aside - there really is no need to add the coblocks for that.
You can just add a Background image to the GB Column Containers and add a GB Headline Block inside for your text.
