Trying to remove WordPress comments features

Bit of an odd situation here, I can't seem to completely remove comments from GeneratePress?
I've done the following:
1. On the Screen Settings I removed 'comments' (i.e. in the top right dropdown settings within WordPress)
2. And I think I have disabled settings in WordPress settings here: https://prnt.sc/nhsdr4
Why are the "Leave a comment" fields still there however?
Any idea? Perhaps there is a GP setting too?

Thanks for that - in fact, that was the first page I came to when I tried to solve it.
Alas, that didn't solve my problem. I follow it and oddly still the comments are there...
When I say "comments" I mean the ability to add a comment.
I'm trying to completely remove it.
Is there anything else you can think of?

are they still showing on existing posts but not new ones?
If so you need to select all your current posts, select Edit under Bulk Actions and apply and then set Comments to Not Allow.
